I count 13 pins, all in a single row, and happily on 0.1 inch centers.
Notice in the diagram below, a connector near the console pins. This is some kind of tiny obscure connector that I have never seen before. The user manual labels it as a fan connector.
The user manual describes an optional expansion board that connects to the 13 pin IO header. It offers an audio jack and a place for the IR signal (which is an input that the Android software may use). It also offers two USB ports and a microphone, but then tells you that they are not supported (which is not surprising since I don't see any signals among the 13 listed above that could support these).
