The Peppermill in Las Vegas, Nevada. This place is at the north end of "the strip" on the east side of the road. Visited 7/2012 - amazing.

Alabama Hills Cafe, Lone Pine, California. You always worry that a great place will go downhill, but this place just seems to keep getting better. A good sign is that it is actually "Cafe and Bakery", so you get fresh baked bread with a superb breakfast. One friend said it was the best breakfast he had in his entire life, and I couldn't argue. Across from the Hostel on the north side of Post Street. Visited again in 9/2012
