After being exposed to mechanical keyboards with some flavor of Cherry switch, I was eager to get my hands on such a keyboard which had the sides angled to allow more natural hand positions, but was not able to find any such thing. I ended up buying an Ergodox EZ, which goes even further and breaks the keyboard into right and left halves joined by a cable.
I have two machines at home, and would like a better keyboard for my much less used windows machine. I use my Microsoft "natural" on my linux machine. It may be a mediocre membrane keyboard, but it has certainly been durable. I have been using it daily for well over 10 years and it is still going strong.
