GnuPlot

I have come to quite like gnuplot for doing the simple X-Y plots that I so often need to do. I can produce interactive plots on the screen, as well as postscript for paper copy, and PNG files for the web. And it can do much more.

I wish it could do FFT's, and aparently am not the only one with this wish, but the party line is that gnuplot is a plotting tool not a mathematical tool. Thankfully it does do least squares fitting of lines and polynomials.

There are quite a number of gnuplot tutorials and manuals out there, some that I have found useful are included in the following links.
