dotnet (.NET) from the command line

On Fedora linux, you can install dotnet from the standard Fedora packages via 
su
dnf install dotnet
Once you do this you can type "dotnet" at the command line and it is a swiss army knife with many options. The same is also true on windows, but it is just there, I have never had to explicitly install it.
