Detailing your Gen 5 4runner
I have a white 2000 Tacoma with over 300,000 miles on it.
I have never washed it, and never intend to.
To my eye, it is doing just fine.
Rain and natural processes keep it plenty clean enough.
My friend and 4runner advisor Andrew takes a different approach.
He tells me that he washes it ever week and has a
"membership" at a local carwash that allows him to wash it
as often as he wants.
My new 4runner looks nice and I am tempted to adopt some,
if not all, of Andrew's regime.
He sent me a photo of a line up of "detailing products"
he uses, as follows:
- ArmorAll interior detailer
- Chemical Guys -- Tire kicker Tire Shine (gives bright wet shine)
- Chemical Guys -- Total Interior (dash, glass, any interior surface)
- Chemical Guys -- Hydro Shield (tires, vinyl, rubber - "ceramic")
- Chemical Guys -- lucent Spray Shine (synthetic spray wax)
- Chemical Guys -- Hydro Interior (detailer and ceramic coating)
- Chemical Guys -- Galactic black wet look Tire shine
